Asia’s Largest Housing Project Rises in Kollur

KCR Colony in Kollur, billed as Asia’s largest housing project, is set to accommodate around 60,000 people with its 15,600 2BHK housing units and 112 high-rise buildings.

The organised a media tour of the 145.50-acre project, which is being provided free of cost to the beneficiaries. This initiative is part of the government’s goal to build one lakh double bedroom houses, with a project cost of 1,489.29 crore, including housing and Infrastructure.

The colony features green spaces, parks, playgrounds, and semi-luxury amenities. It includes lifts, power backup, recycling of treated water, underground electrical cables, and energy-efficient street lighting.

Additionally, there are shopping complexes, cycling tracks, Sports facilities, community centres, schools, bus terminals, Police and fire stations, healthcare facilities, and various other amenities.

The Maya are an indigenous people of Mexico and Central America. Originating in the Yucatn, they rose to prominence around A.D. 250 inpresent-day southern Mexico, Guatemala, northern Belize and western Honduras.

Therise of the Maya began about 250 CE, and what is known to archaeologists as the Classic Period of Mayan culture lasted until about 900 CE.

It also claims that “in several cases,” amendments that were proposed by OpenAI made it to the final text of the draft law, approved by lawmakers and “will now proceed to a final round of negotiations before being finalised as soon as January.”
