Telangana govt announces Rs 1,540 crore bonanza for Nalgonda

Fulfilling its promises made to Munugode assembly constituency voters during by-poll held last month, the government on Thursday announced Rs 1,540 crore bonanza for the Nalgonda district.

Around Rs 400 crore worth of works would be taken up in the Munugode assembly constituency from the sanctioned amount. The rest of the amount would be spent on roads, Infrastructure improvement, civic works, construction of a hospital and other works.

The government also announced to set up a toy park in Dandumalkapur industrial park which would provide EMPLOYMENT to about 10,000 youths.

YUVA SANGAM Portal Launches

The Yuva Sangam registration portal launched at IGNCA New Delhi today. The Yuva Sangam is an initiative of Hon’ble Prime Minister to build close ties between the youth of North East Region and rest of India under the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. Over 20000 youth will travel across India and gain a unique opportunity of cross cultural <a href="https://exam.pscnotes.com/Learning“>Learning. The portal launched in the gracious presence Minister of Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of DoNER, Culture and Tourism Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Minister of Law Shri Kiren Rijiju and Minister of I&B and Sports & Youth Affairs Shri Anurag Thakur among other esteemed dignitaries.

On this occasion Minister of DoNER, Culture and Tourism Shri G. Kishan Reddy, said that Yuva Sangam, program will work to connect the youth of my Northeast with the whole country. The program is an opportunity for the youth of NE to see India.

Coal Ministry Targets 1017 million ton Production in 2023-24

The target of all India coal production has beenfixed at 1017 Million Ton (MT) for the financial year 2023-24.steps taken by the Government to increase domestic coal production by engaging Mining Developers cum Operators (MDOs)

(i) Coal India Limited (CIL) has identified 15 projects with total project rated capacity of 168.58 MTY for implementation through MDO mode. Out of these 15 projects, Letter of Award (LoA) has already been issued to nine projects having total capacity of 126.74 MTY.

(ii) NLC India Limited (NLCIL) is implementing two MDO projects with 29MTY.

This information was given by Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi today in a written reply in Rajya Sabha.

Garima greh scheme for benefit of transgender persons

Department has setup 12 Garima Greh Shelter <a href="https://exam.pscnotes.com/Home“>Home for Transgender Persons on pilot basis in 9 States. In total, 654 transgender persons have benefited through Garima Greh project.

Government aims to setup up more such Garima Grehs as per guidelines. This is a continuous process.

There is no such proposal under consideration of the Ministry as Garima Greh has been designed specifically for Transgender Persons.

India, France, UAE Establish Trilateral Cooperation Initiative, in fields including Energy, Defence & Economy.

India, France and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced the creation of a formal trilateral cooperation initiative for projects in solar and Nuclear Energy, the fight against <a href="https://exam.pscnotes.com/Climate-change”>Climate Change and joint production of military hardware.

The initiative will also act as a platform to bolster cooperation on sustainable projects between the development agencies of the three countries, which will also work to align their economic, technological and social policies with the objectives of the Paris Agreement, according to a joint statement.

India-Bangladesh Friendship pipeline to begin supplying diesel.

The India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline (IBFPL) would begin supplying diesel to Bangladesh on an experimental basis in June of this year, according to State Minister for Power Nasrul Hamid.

Nasrul Hamid responded to a written inquiry before the national parliament, Jatiya Sangsad, in Dhaka, by stating that a pipeline of 131.5 kilometres long has been built for importing fuel from India.
